Poolside Chat

Child safety standards

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Poolside Chat is a chat community for adults only. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.

Adults only

  • Everyone must be 18 or older. New accounts give a date of birth, and anyone under 18 is refused at sign-up.
  • Members who joined before we asked for a birth date are asked for it the next time they log in. If it shows they are under 18, the account is closed.
  • Accounts we believe belong to a minor are blocked and removed.
  • Poolside is labeled RTA (Restricted To Adults), so parental-control software can block it.

What is prohibited

  • Any sexual content involving, depicting or targeting anyone under 18, including role-play.
  • Grooming, sexualizing minors, or any attempt to contact, meet or obtain images of a minor.
  • Sharing, requesting or linking to CSAM in any form.

How we prevent it

  • Volunteer monitors and our admins watch the rooms and can block an account and its internet address on the spot.
  • Pictures can't be posted in the public rooms. Pictures in private rooms and whispers are kept with any report made about them.
  • Anyone in chat can report another person, including for the reason "Looks under 18". Every report is reviewed by our team, and the report keeps a copy of what that person said so it isn't lost when the chat clears.
  • Members can ignore anyone instantly.

What we do when we find it

  • We remove the content and permanently ban the account and its address.
  • We report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
  • We preserve relevant information for law enforcement as the law requires.

How to report

  • Logged in to chat: use the safety report form. It sends the team what that person recently said.
  • Someone just being rude? No need to report: tick Ignore next to their name and you won't see them again.
  • By email: poolsidesquare@gmail.com. Please include the person's chat name, the room, and what happened.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first. You can also report to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.

Parents

Poolside is not a place for children. Parental-control tools that read the RTA label will block this site. If you believe your child has an account here, email us and we will close it.
